Project Help Burma Event on November
Pye Thu Gone Yay’s Event on January
Ma Phyo Sandi Aung will be BYA point of contact for coordination. It will be great if refugee families will be informed about this event. The event will be on October 9, 2010 Saturday.
Many members were interested. It will be better if there is a purpose/theme of the camping. It was great that we could go to near by place. Everyone at camping had a nice and relax time. We go more familiar with each other. Many of us had a new experience. It was fun and food was great. The camping place had a good privacy. BYA overspent on this trip. Time was short. 3 days 2 nights would be better.
Need to do more online research
To have a refugee helping program (which there is a possible program working with CHAA and BRFN for Oakland Youth)
Initially, BYA aimed to hold a small B(M)CCFR event in November. Due to time conflict with other organizations’ events and cancellation of Ko Kyaw Kyaw Naing performance (Myanmar traditional drums – Saing Wyne), BYA posponed B(M)CCFR plan. Ko Kyaw Min Oo will follow up and coordinate on this B(M)CCFR event planning. Ma Mindy Khoo has proposed a talent show. Ko Kyaw Thura and Ko Kyaw Lin Htat will coordinate Food program. Ko Wai Phyo will coordinate Sponsorship program. Ma Su Wai will coordinate Entertainment program.
Need to follow up on this.
There is a possible connection to help Oakland youth. Ko Kyaw Min Oo, Ko Zarni Tun, Ma Phyo Sandi Aung, and Ko Wai Phyo will follow up on this.
